The Alto Hardshell Tent is designed in Colorado and manufactured at our factory overseas with high-quality raw materials, and careful attention to detail.
The Alto Mini comfortably sleeps two full grown adults and if you want a furry companion as well.
The Alto Elite spaciously fits 3-4 adults or two sprawled out individuals as comfortable as can be.
Built to Last
Most tents are made from polyester that restricts airflow and collects condensation. The Alto is designed with all the features and durability we've always wanted in our RTT's; it has breathable, water-resistant 600D oxford canvas. The thicker material, waterproof zippers, and rain fly keep you dry and stay quieter on windy days. Not to mention the only fold out tent with 360° windows, only possible with our patented bracket system.

This tent hosts a large door plus two large windows on each side along with a thin window near your head space. You'll notice a high grade telescopic ladder leads you past two shoe and accessory organization bags, and an LED Strip easily powered with a portable batttery or any USB. Once inside you will find even more LED lighting, organiziation pockets, and an incredible rain proof sky light.
Sleep under the night sky
We all know what the stars look like on a clear night. They are beautiful! This is especially true when camping. In fact, camping on the most comfortable memory foam mattress there is – away from the city lights – is exactly the kind of environment you need to see all the stars in the sky; our tent gives you extra light by day and a view of the stars by night. The canopy windows have two layers: an inner see-through vinyl mesh window, and an outer 600D oxford canvas window. They even roll up for extra ventilation. Every flap and awning rolls up and secures neatly out of the way whenever you choose.

Have have the Alto Mini for over a year and it has been amazing. Drove through all kinds of weather from summer though harsh winter. 100% of the time outdoors and have never gotten any leaks or issues with the tent. Great quality!
I would recommend getting the upgraded air mattress over the standard that it comes with. Fits 2 people with plenty of room to spare, if you want to have a furry friend up there with you it's enough room.
Black out tent sides is actually BLACK out!! The sky window is awesome! Lots of windows and vent options. The light is really nice and bright. Holds up to pretty strong wind but did find my personal limit when camping in 50mhp wind with a wind warning issued but was impressed with how well the tent did. I was just tired of getting rocked and woken up by the extreme wind but the tent didnt break or anything. Has a place to put a diesel heater vent pipe but haven't yet tried that out.
Easy to setup and pack down takes the grand total of 3 mins to have the tent open and ready or maybe 5 mins to put away with removal of pillows and sleeping bags.
Love the windows and doors as they all have bug nets and an exterior window/door flaps that velcro and zip down and an interior flap that zips to customize or optimize your ventilation or viewing options. The tent fabric is extremely tough and rugged.
Hard case tent is the best way to go IMO. It holds up to the elements and takes a beating!
Had Colorado 4x4 install the tent for me and they did an amazing job. Great service!
If I would change anything it might be a slightly more robust ladder, and possibly some pads to stop the ladder from rubbing the top tent fabric and underside of the frame. But it's nothing some foam pads or a thin fabric won't fix.

I’m new to the rooftop tent world but I’m glad I’m here and I’m lucky I chose the BEST rooftop tent on the market. At first the price looks a little high but the quality, comfort, and ease of setup all justify the price. I fully expect to use this for 20 years with no problems. I love going to quiet, desolate dispersed campground sites and this is perfect when it comes to a lack of footprint. Also, so much more comfortable when camping prior to hiking 14ers. This tent is amazing and I can’t wait to add the awning system to heighten my camping experience. Now, they don’t have these just lying around on shelves, so make sure you give yourself plenty of leeway when ordering. Other than that I can’t really come up with anything but praise for this high quality, amazing tent! You will not be disappointed!
