The Alto Hardshell Tent is designed in Colorado and manufactured at our factory overseas with high-quality raw materials, and careful attention to detail.
The Alto Mini comfortably sleeps two full grown adults and if you want a furry companion as well.
The Alto Elite spaciously fits 3-4 adults or two sprawled out individuals as comfortable as can be.
Built to Last
Most tents are made from polyester that restricts airflow and collects condensation. The Alto is designed with all the features and durability we've always wanted in our RTT's; it has breathable, water-resistant 600D oxford canvas. The thicker material, waterproof zippers, and rain fly keep you dry and stay quieter on windy days. Not to mention the only fold out tent with 360° windows, only possible with our patented bracket system.

This tent hosts a large door plus two large windows on each side along with a thin window near your head space. You'll notice a high grade telescopic ladder leads you past two shoe and accessory organization bags, and an LED Strip easily powered with a portable batttery or any USB. Once inside you will find even more LED lighting, organiziation pockets, and an incredible rain proof sky light.
Sleep under the night sky
We all know what the stars look like on a clear night. They are beautiful! This is especially true when camping. In fact, camping on the most comfortable memory foam mattress there is – away from the city lights – is exactly the kind of environment you need to see all the stars in the sky; our tent gives you extra light by day and a view of the stars by night. The canopy windows have two layers: an inner see-through vinyl mesh window, and an outer 600D oxford canvas window. They even roll up for extra ventilation. Every flap and awning rolls up and secures neatly out of the way whenever you choose.

Our first roof top tent and we love it! Excellent build quality and features. We ordered and waited about a month to receive it and the customer service along the way was top notch. Tara was very helpful with any questions we had. We will be purchasing more products from 4x4 Colorado in the future.

It took longer than expected to get the tent but we had it out this last week and it was great. The air mattress is super comfortable but it does make closing the tent a bit harder.

I was finally able to test out my Alto Elite King, and I may say this was the cherry on top for my 23’ tundra! Lots of great compliments for the color and build. Wow the material the canvas rips top is super thick! The king size is a must have is you like to have a spacious sleep. My wife and I was able to fit my German shepherd and and my German heeler comfortably. At first I was worried about the overhang as it is roughly 72” in length but honestly it is not as bad as I thought it would, I say it extends maybe an inch out of the tailgate but not far enough past the bumper.
The full blackout of the interior lets us sleep in without light peeking through any crevasses in your typical tent. My only con is the amount of condensation that builds up inside but goes away fairly quickly in the bright day with all the windows open. Also it may be worth upgrading the mattress if your a plush sleeper. The guys at the 4x4 Colorado shop took great care of me with fast shipping and great customer service. During freight there was some slight damage by carrier but the guys at 4x4 Colorado are ensuring my issues are remedied so again another pro for these guys.
I’ve done a lot of research and seen a bunch of other RTT and this is by far would definitely be a top design and quality. I would say don’t hesitate if you are thinking of purchasing. If you are an avid camper who likes sleep quality and quality made products with a great customer service provided I say don’t look elsewhere. I promise you won’t regret it.
